About Haigler CPA Group
A Charleston CPA practice built around tax work for small businesses, real estate investors and individuals — the return in front of you and the decisions that set it.
Why Choose the Haigler CPA Group, LLC?
A CPA does the work
The returns here are prepared by a licensed South Carolina CPA — license 10843, and a member of the AICPA — not handed down to a seasonal preparer and signed at the top.
Personalized Service
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Whether you're a small business owner or an individual taxpayer, we tailor our services to your specific financial situation.
Maximized Returns
We work through the deductions and credits your situation actually supports, and we tell you which ones we considered and ruled out, so you know the return was thought about rather than typed.
Transparent Pricing
You get the scope and the fee in writing before work starts. No hidden fees, and no invoice you were not expecting.
Deadlines tracked, not remembered
Filing dates, extensions and estimate due dates are tracked for you. If something needs to come from you before one of them, you will hear about it with time to act rather than the week it is due.
Year-Round Support
Our commitment doesn't end with tax season. We're here to answer your questions and provide guidance throughout the year.
What kind of firm this is
Haigler CPA Group, LLC is a Charleston tax and accounting practice, founded in 2023, working with small businesses, real estate investors and individuals. The office is on Wappoo Drive on James Island, a few minutes from downtown across the Wappoo Cut.
The focus on small business tax is deliberate rather than incidental. It follows from a background in corporate tax, real estate partnerships and high-net-worth individual work. The technical demands of small business work are not lower — entity structure, multi-state exposure, property and exits all show up — but the person on the other side of the table is the owner, making the decision and living with it.
Where we work
The office is in Charleston and we work with clients across the Lowcountry, including Mount Pleasant and Summerville. Documents move through the client portal and conversations happen by phone or in person, so being able to drop by is convenient rather than necessary.
Being local is not by itself a tax qualification. What it means in practice is that South Carolina returns are routine here, the Charleston rental market is familiar on a Schedule E, and you can meet the person doing the work without a flight being involved.
What you can expect us to be straight about
- Whether you need us. If your return is genuinely simple, we will say so rather than sell you a service.
- Whether we are the right firm. If your situation needs expertise this practice does not have, you will hear that at the first conversation, not after an engagement letter.
- What a thing will cost, in writing, before the work starts.
- What we cannot promise. No one can guarantee an outcome with a tax authority, and you should be wary of anyone who does.
- Where the boundary is. Legal drafting, investment management and insurance are separate professions, and we will work alongside whoever you use for them.
