Information you give us

The contact form on this site asks for your first and last name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, and your message. All of those fields are required in order to send the form. Nothing else on the site asks you for information.

Please do not attach or paste tax documents into the contact form. It is a plain email relay and is not the right channel for Social Security numbers, bank details or full returns. Those go through the client portal, which is linked at the top of every page and operated by a third party under its own terms.

What happens to a form submission

When you submit the form, the contents are sent to our web server and relayed as an email to the firm through Mailgun, an email delivery service. Your email address is set as the reply-to address so we can respond to you directly. The message is not stored in a database on this website, and it is not shared with anyone outside the firm and the service providers listed below.

If the email relay is unavailable, the submission is recorded in our server logs instead of being discarded, so that an enquiry is never silently lost, and we follow up from there.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server log information for every request: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. This is ordinary web server logging used to operate and secure the site.

Your IP address is also sent to Google as part of the spam check described below when you submit the contact form.

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies of its own. We have verified this by loading the site in a browser and inspecting the cookies afterwards.

The spam-protection widget on the contact page is provided by Google and may set its own cookies in your browser when it loads or when you interact with it. That is Google's cookie, set under Google's terms, and we do not control it or read it.

The site also loads Google Tag Manager, a container that lets us add measurement tags without changing the site's code. If we add analytics tags to it in future, those tags may set cookies, and we will update this section when that happens.

Third-party services

• Vercel — hosting and server logs.
• Mailgun (Sinch) — delivers the contact form email to us.
• Google reCAPTCHA — spam protection on the contact form; receives your IP address and interaction data.
• Google Tag Manager — tag container.
• Client portal — a separate third-party system for exchanging documents securely, with its own privacy terms.

Each of these operates under its own privacy terms. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as we need them to respond to you and to maintain ordinary business records. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider on its standard schedule.

If you would like us to delete an enquiry you sent us, ask and we will.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to sophie@haiglercpagroup.com and we will respond.

You can block cookies and scripts in your browser settings. If you block the spam-protection widget, the contact form may not submit; you can call or email us instead.

Children

This site is intended for adults seeking accounting and tax services. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
