Tax Preparation for Pass-Through Entities

Pass-through entities like S-corporations, partnerships, and LLCs require specialized tax preparation to ensure that income is properly passed through to individual owners. We handle all aspects of tax preparation and filing for pass-through entities, ensuring compliance and tax efficiency.

  • Tax preparation for S-corporations and partnerships
  • K-1 preparation for shareholders, partners, and members
  • State and federal filings for pass-through entities
  • Tax planning for owners and partners

Multi-State and International Taxation

If your business operates in multiple states or has international tax exposure, we help you manage the complexities of multi-jurisdictional tax laws. We ensure your business is compliant with various tax authorities while minimizing liabilities across borders.

  • Multi-state tax compliance and filings
  • Nexus determination and tax strategies
  • International tax compliance and reporting (FATCA, GILTI, etc.)
  • Cross-border tax planning for global operations

This is for you if

  • You own an operating business — an LLC, S corporation, partnership or corporation — and it files its own return.
  • You have employees or pay contractors.
  • You have started selling, hiring or holding property in a second state.
  • Your structure has not been looked at since the day it was formed.
  • The tax bill keeps arriving as a surprise.

What sits outside this service

  • Forming the entity itself. The organizing documents are legal work and belong with an attorney.
  • Running payroll. This firm does not process payroll; we reconcile it and file around it once your provider has run it.
  • Bookkeeping, which is its own service rather than part of the return.

Common questions

Which entity types do you prepare returns for?

S corporations, partnerships and LLCs on the pass-through side, and corporate returns including consolidated groups. K-1s for shareholders, partners and members are prepared with the entity return so the owners' personal returns line up.

My business operates in more than one state. Is that a problem?

It is a complication rather than a problem, but it needs to be handled deliberately. Where you have nexus determines where you file, and getting that wrong in either direction is expensive — unfiled state returns accrue penalties, and filing where you have no obligation creates ongoing ones.

When should I revisit my entity structure?

When revenue changes materially, when ownership changes, when you add employees or states, and well before you plan to sell. Entity choice affects self-employment tax, payroll obligations, basis and what a buyer will pay, so it is worth reviewing more than once.

Do you help with estimated tax payments during the year?

Yes — that is planning work rather than preparation work. The goal is paying the right amount at the right time, so you avoid underpayment penalties without leaving money with the IRS all year.
