Your details
How we can help

What you are dealing with, and any deadline. Please do not attach or paste tax documents — those go through the client portal.

Every field is required. We use these details to reply to your inquiry, nothing else.

Office and details

Hours
Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
By appointment. Meetings in person or virtual.
Sending documents
Use the client portal, not email. Tax documents carry Social Security numbers and full financial detail, and email is not a secure channel for either.

Not sure what you need?

The consultation page explains what the first conversation covers and what is worth having to hand.

Four ways in, and what each one is for

  • The form on this page

Best for a first approach. Describe the situation in general terms — what kind of entity, which year, and what has gone wrong or is coming up. No account numbers, no Social Security numbers, no attachments.

  • The phone

Best when something has a deadline on it — an IRS notice with a response date, a closing that is being scheduled, a payroll question that cannot wait for an email round trip.

  • The client portal

The only route for documents. W-2s, K-1s, closing statements, bank exports and anything else carrying a Social Security number or full financial detail goes here, not through email and not through this form.

    Open the client portal
  • The consultation page

Best if you are not sure what you need yet. It sets out what the first conversation covers, what is worth having to hand, and what happens after it.

Finding the office

The office is at 2012 Wappoo Drive on James Island, a few minutes from downtown Charleston across the Wappoo Cut. There is parking on site.

It is by appointment rather than drop-in, and that is not a formality — the practice is small enough that arriving unannounced usually means the person you need is with someone else. Call or send the form first and we will find a time. Meetings work equally well by video, and a good share of them happen that way.

Mount Pleasant and Summerville are service areas worked from this office. There is no second location, and none is claimed anywhere on this site.

Areas we serve

What we do not do

  • Trusts and estates work. It was retired as a service and we do not take it on, including the returns that come with it.
  • Legal advice. We will read a document and tell you how it is taxed; we will not tell you whether to sign it.
  • Attest engagements — audits, reviews and compilations issued under professional standards. If a lender, a bonding company or a public agency needs an examined statement or an overhead rate, that goes to a firm that performs attest work.
  • Payroll processing. We will advise on how to set payroll up and how to run it correctly; we do not run the payroll itself.

Saying this here saves a phone call in both directions. If the thing you need is on this list, we would rather point you somewhere useful than take the meeting.
